About
This is an experimental apologetical programme of a core group of lay apologists and debaters of the Catholic Faith. Most of them are either active or inactive members of the propaganda and education staff of the St Peter’s Men Society (SPMS), an apologetics and evangelization organization under the Saint John D’ Baptist Parish of the Minor Basilica of the Black Nazarene in Quiapo, Manila.
The core group is trying to expand its working committee by enjoining the parallel apostolate of other lay apologists, debaters, preachers and lecturers of the Catholic Church in order to form a pool of apologists who can share and integrate their various distinct apologetic techniques in defending the faith of the One, Holy, Roman, Catholic Apostolic Church.
This apologetical program will focus on Filipino-based apologetics to serve the Philippine Churches in its defense against the various propaganda and proselytizing attacks and offensives of the numerous anti-Catholic groups which are emerging and evolving in so may forms and schemes and even in conspiracies and tactical alliances.
Despite being designed as a defensive program for the Catholic Faith, this work of apostolate is nevertheless eyeing to serve the wide range of spectrum of the Catholic Faithful in answering any of their questions and queries regarding the Catholic Faith as well as in providing clarifications, explanations and expositions on the comments, observations and suggestions and even critiques both of the Catholic and non-Catholic minds in our own Philippine setting.
The views and comments in this apologetics apostolate do not necessarily reflect the official position of the religious organizations in which they belong in particular and of the Catholic Church in general. To reiterate, all the apologists subscribe to the dogma and official teaching of the Catholic Church. Corallary, the theological opinions and views as well as commentaries of the apologists will inevitably vary to considerable extent especially in various controversial issues and agenda. This should not be construed as anathema to the academic freedom which the Holy Church has been bestowing to the faithful insofar as this does not contradict to the official teaching of the Catholic Church.
Comments, criticisms and recommendations are therefore highly encouraged to be reverberated over this forum. This will offer us more elbow room to further study our faith and share what we have learned in our apostolate in the field.
